Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, Marion Hill Lutheran Church, White City, Kan. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service.

James Lee “JL” Anderson, 90, of Easton, Kan., and formerly of Buffalo, was born June 28, 1927, in White City, Kan., the son of Elmer and Hattie (Becker) Anderson. He died peacefully March 1, 2018.

He was a member of the Marion Hill Lutheran Church for 90 years.

He served in the Army from 1946 to 1948 and received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan.

He enjoyed playing pool and remodeling homes, and he had an enormous love for babies.

He was a loving father and will be missed greatly.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; two stepdaughters: Kim McGirl and Terrie Laughlin; two brothers: Laurence and Vernon “Shorty” Anderson; and two sisters: Doris Anderson and Muriel Morgan.

Survivors include a sister, Charlotte Fielder, Council Grove, Kan.; a brother, Jerry Anderson, Beaumont, Texas; two sons: Jim Anderson Jr., Easton, Kan., and Jon Anderson, Leavenworth, Kan.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
