I want to thank Dr. Tim Ryan for his work in educating Dallas County residents on the needs of our school district.  I cannot think of a better investment in the future of our community than the education of our young people. We are blessed to have the programs that our career center offers.  These programs can lead to life-long careers for young people when a four-year college education is not for them.

But the building that houses these vital programs has served its life.  Pouring more money into the existing building is like putting lipstick on a pig.  It is still a pig. We need to give our kids the facility that is most beneficial for their learning experience. By moving these programs to the Buffalo High School campus it will lessen travel time, travel expenses and give students more time in the classroom where the learning experience begins.

Our elected school board has brought to us an opportunity to continue these programs. I will be supporting their decision and our kids. These children are going to be our future leaders and they deserve the best we can give them.
