Buffalo Angels

Christmas 2024 marked the fourth year that the Buffalo Community has worked together to bring “tidings of great joy” to the children in the Buffalo area through the Angel Tree. The owners of Xtreme Diesel, Matthew Frye and his wife, Makayla, founded the project in 2021, after reflecting on their own childhoods and realizing they wanted to give back to their community. They put out some feelers to find the need in the community and found there was a great need to help children at Christmas time. Partnering with OACAC, Frye believes that 600-700 children have been served through the Angel Tree since its founding. The program is unique to Buffalo and serves youngsters not served through Toys for Tots. This year, approximately 160 children received gifts from the Angel Tree.
