Sarah Stober, 93, of rural Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Ryan Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Peninsula Cemetery in rural Blackwater.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born August 15, 1927 in Blackwater, she was the daughter of the late Cread Coral Alley and Naomi Baker Alley.

Sarah lived in Saline and Cooper counties her entire life and was a 1945 graduate of Blackwater High School, attended Central Missouri State Teachers College and later graduated from Missouri Valley College.

On May 15, 1948 she married Paul V. Stober who preceded her in death on August 5, 2013.

Sarah’s career was spent as a teacher at several schools in Saline and Cooper counties, retiring in 1990 from Sweet Springs R-7.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall, Cretcher Club, Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Howard County Retired Teachers.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Arni (Don) of Glasgow; one son, Coral “Corky” Stober (Tina) of Buffalo; six grandsons: Dominic Arni (Sarah), Patrick Arni, Nathaniel Arni (Wendy), Adam Arni (Meghan), Chad Abercrombie and Jeff Abercrombie (Amber); seven great-grandchildren: Jack Arni, Elizabeth Coral Arni, Ryan Arni, Mason Arni, Sydney Abercrombie, Sadie Abercrombie and Jack Abercrombie; one sister, Joanne Beebe of Independence; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and five siblings: Ruth Marie Bray, Glenn Alley, Martha Gordon, C.B. “Pete” Alley and Sue Reese.
