Thomas Alvin Busselle


Thomas Alvin Busselle of Buffalo, MO, age 69, was born on November 25, 1951 to Joseph and Edna (Perry) Busselle at Colby, KS. He passed away on April 11, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Edna Busselle and two brothers Bob and Bill Busselle.

He is survived by his two sisters Mary Young and Jenny Barker; his two daughters Melanie Mobley and husband Rob Mobley of Willard, MO and Shannon Elliott and husband Mark of Buffalo, MO; two stepchildren Michael and wife Lisa Argo of Union City, TN, and Christy Argo of Union City, TN; and grandchildren Autumn Busselle, Zachary Davidson, Ethan Elliott, Gavin Argo, Shiloh Elliott, Mason Mobley, Hannah Elliott, Isaac Elliott, Aiden Argo, Ruth Elliott, Josie Elliott, and Wyatt Buress.

Thomas graduated from Buffalo High School in Buffalo, MO and married Mary Spurlock Fielder in June of 1971. To that union was born two daughters.

Thomas attended college at MSU for two years. Then Thomas enlisted in the Army in 1975. He finished basic training as a distinguished graduate and served as a machinist in the army at Fort Polk, LA.

In 1978 he and his family relocated to Davenport, IA where Thomas worked as a machinist for the Rock Island arsenal. At this time he became “The Audio Doctor” when he began a side-gig selling high-end audio equipment.

He returned to Buffalo, MO where he continued various entrepreneurial endeavors. He sold metal detectors, resale items, and anything he could turn a profit on.

Later, Thomas married another special woman, Christy Abbott Busselle. They opened a custom frame business and worked side by side selling online and retail sales. They enjoyed traveling in their time off and spending time with their grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Calvary Chapel church from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Cremation rights were handled by Holden Funeral Services of Sparta, MO. Final resting place of his remains will be handled at a later date.
