At the October 12 meeting, Fire Chief Greg Cunningham welcomed new Deputy Fire Chief Clint Carver.
In the final meeting of the month, October 26, the board looked at the donations totaling $105,500 for the Buffalo Community Center repair project. Donors so far include OakStar, Dairy Queen, Nimmo Insurance, Sheriff’s Posse, Dallas County Economic Development Group, Dallas County, Senator Crawford, Fair Board, O’Bannon, BTC, New to You and CMH.
The board heard a third party presentation about an insurance program which residents could choose to use to cover water or sewer lines. The board is still in the process of collecting information about this.
The next Board of Aldermen regularly scheduled meeting is November 9.
