Tunas, Elkland, Conway residents injured in crashes

 

Tunas teenager injured

A Tunas teenager was injured Saturday, Jan. 16, in a two-vehicle crash in Louisburg, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Emily L. Owens, 18, of Tunas was westbound on Mo. 64 at U.S. 65 in Louisburg at 9:48 p.m. Jan. 16 when the 2013 Toyota Camry she was driving crossed the intersection and struck a southbound 2011 Kia Optima. The Kia was driven by Conner R. Pinkley, 18, of Elkland.

Owens suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Cox Hospital, Springfield.

Both Owens and Pinkley were wearing seat belts.

Elkland woman injured

An Elkland woman was injured Saturday, Jan. 16, in a one-vehicle crash south of Buffalo, according to the Highway Patrol.

Sheri L. Flagge, 57, was northbound on Route H about three miles south of Buffalo at 8:18 a.m. Jan. 16 when the 1995 Chevrolet van she was driving slid on the ice-covered road, went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Flagge suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar.

She was wearing a seat belt.

Elkland man injured

An Elkland man was injured Thursday, Jan. 14, in a one-vehicle crash in Dallas County, according to the Highway Patrol.

Cole R. Villines, 24, was eastbound on Route M a half-mile from Route B at 5:35 a.m. Jan. 14 when the 2000 Mercury Cougar he was driving went off the right side of the road, struck a culvert, became airborne and overturned.

Villines suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

Conway man injured

A Conway man was injured Thursday, Jan. 14, in a one-vehicle crash west of Conway in Webster County, according to the Highway Patrol.

Jason L. Carter, 35, was eastbound on Route Y seven miles west of Conway at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 14 when the 2007 Chevrolet 1500 he was driving struck a cow that was standing in the road.

Carter suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

Tunas man injured

A Tunas man was injured Thursday, Jan. 14, in a one-vehicle crash west of Plad, according to the Highway Patrol.

Chance R. Dawes, 23, was westbound on Mo. 64 one mile west of Plad at 4:10 a.m. Jan. 14 when the 1999 Ford F-350 he was driving went off the west side of the road and struck a tree.

Dawes suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.
