Betty Louise Baldock

Betty Louise Baldock, daughter of the late Earl & Floy (Lowry) Duley was born on July 21, 1928 in New Town, Missouri and departed this life on July 20, 2019 at her home near Buffalo, Missouri. At the time of her passing she was 90 years, 11 months, and 29 days of age.

Betty was reared and attended school in New Town, Missouri until her senior year of High School when her family moved to Unionville.

She met Joedd Baldock, and they were united in marriage on December 27, 1946 after his service in the United States Army.

Betty was a very loving and giving wife, mother, and daughter. She took care of her mother for many years, was Joedd’s right hand and navigator, and loved her children deeply.

She was involved in many things from selling fruit on the front lawn to the many church activities she helped plan and attend. In her early years she loved to dance and was often referred to as the Jitterbug Queen.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joedd; her parents; two sons, Terry Lee and Jeffrey Todd; and one grandson, Brandon Hart.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Baldock & Helen Hart. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Tim Case and Pastor Jennifer Long officiating. Escorts will be Charlie Gilsten, Bobby Baldock, Dennis Baldock, Danny Baldock, Chuck Blue, and Leroy Lilly. Honorary escort will be Quinton Gilsten. Interment will be in the Church Grove Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation was from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
