The 2021 Business 911 speaker series kicks off from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21. To view, go to the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page to watch live with other communities.

Callie Myers from the Carthage Visitors Bureau will speak to the group about community engagement. Myers previously was a Bass Pro marketing manager. She will describe how to apply the lessons she gathered from the private sector for the participating communities.

The monthly speaker series provides education through regional economic development efforts. Growth in the Rural Ozarks members have identified a need to help local business owners access relevant business-related information. Through collaboration, Buffalo and other small towns can share resources and develop unique programs for smaller communities. Business 911 speakers feature people who have had real-life, practical experiences. GRO hopes to impact the business leaders by providing free and easy-to-use tools to apply to local business.
