Clifford Eugene Keith was born in Dallas County Missouri on August 18, 1931 to Ray Keith and Minnie (Phillips) Keith.

Clifford attended and graduated from Windyville High School in 1950. After high school graduation, Clifford moved to Kansas City to begin a career at Sears. Clifford served his country during the Korean War and then returned to work at Sears. Clifford served in management positions in various departments. While working at Sears, he attended Rockhurst University.

In the early 1970’s Clifford returned to Dallas County where he was self-employed as a farmer.

After returning from military service, Clifford married Peggy Jones and they were parents of two daughters, Vickie and Micki. Later in life, Clifford married Marie Hiatt.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wives, Peggy Jones Keith and Marie Hiatt Keith; his parents, Ray and Minnie; three sisters, Jerel, Jewell and Maxine; and one brother, Cecil Keith. Clifford had close ties to his brother, Cecil, and his Grandma and Grandpa Phillips.

He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Kaufman & husband Larry of Independence, MO and Micki Nichols & husband Geoff, of Overland Park, KS; one brother, Duane Keith & wife Donna; three sisters, Faye Keith Peters, Dorothy Keith Knowles & husband Charles, and Wanda Keith Bishop & husband David; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clifford loved people and is survived by many longtime friends he made throughout his life.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Curt Rankin officiating. Escorts were Brian Whipple, Chais Rankin, Curt Rankin, Dusty Morgans, Larry Cline, and Pepper Guthrie. Honorary escorts were Keith Whipple, Larry Nevill, Charlie Barnhart, Robert Poole, Billy Dugan, and Bob Pierce. Interment was in the Peppers Cemetery in Windyville, MO under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Visitation was from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
