The Dallas County R-1 School District has rescheduled its dates for summer school programming in Dallas County because of social distancing guidance.

High school remediation virtual (online) courses will begin Wednesday, May 27. Summer school for students in kindergarten through eighth grade will begin June 15.

The district is not sure what the summer schedule or program will be at this time. Decisions regarding dates, times, programming, meals and transportation will be made as the June 15 date gets closer. The district will consult federal, state and local guidance for social distancing as it makes these decisions.

More information will be shared with students and parents soon. The district will continue to share information via the local newspaper, phone, email, text, mobile app and on the website.
