Thanks to a grant from the Dallas County Community Foundation, SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging will host disaster preparedness classes in the next few months for people ages 60 and older.

The classes start Jan. 30 at the Montgomery Senior Center in Buffalo. The class will be 10:30 to 11 a.m.

The classes educate seniors to make a plan ahead of time to prepare for a disaster, build a disaster kit and stay informed of potential disasters in their community. The event is free and open to the public.

People who sign up for the classes will be entered into a drawing to receive a free disaster kit.
