Ernestine Lee McClelland, daughter of the late Alvin and Orien (Anders) Fuqua, was born on May 31, 1944 in Amarillo, Texas and departed this life on November 25, 2019 in Chesterfield, Missouri. At the time of her passing she was 75 years, 5 months, and 25 days of age.

Ernestine was reared and attended school in Amarillo, TX. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” McClelland on December 23, 1963 in Amarillo, TX, and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive her. She was a wonderful wife and mother, raising their children and taking care of the house while Bob traveled the world with his business dealings. After the children were raised, Ernestine loved traveling the world with Bob. They were blessed with nearly 56 years together.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Bob of the home; one daughter, Kay & husband Dale Moore of House Springs, MO; two sons, Robert & wife Schelly McClelland of Hillsboro, MO and Michael & wife Chrissy McClelland of High Ridge, MO; and six grandchildren, J.R. Moore & wife Jessie, Christina Moore, Zachary McClelland, Morgan McClelland, Kaylee McClelland, and Madison McClelland. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor David Van Bebber officiating. Escorts will be J. R. Moore, Zachary McClelland, Paul Long, Mike Simmons, Ed Goette, and David Goette. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
