Johnnie Lee Ray was born on July 22, 1960 and departed this world on December 31, 2019 in Bolivar, MO. He was born to Anitta (Jasper) Ray (now deceased) and Johnnie Edward Ray of Colorado.

He lived with his grandparents Arley and Evla Jasper, (now deceased) until his dad came and got him when he was 9 years old.

He joined the National Guard for a term of 8 years when he was 17 and was honorably discharged.

Johnnie met and married Jody (Norton) Ray on November 28, 1987 and to this union 3 children were born; Terry Norton, Crystal (Ray) Boyd, and Johnnie Ray Jr all of Buffalo, Missouri.

He lived in Buffalo, MO after he got out of the service and settled down and raised a family, and he was a very happy and proud papa of seven grandchildren, who were his world.

He worked at Buffalo Foods, L&R Egg Co, Petit Jean Poultry, C&M Packers of Pleasant Hope, MO, Tracker Marine in Bolivar, MO, and Buffalo Locker Plant until his health wouldn’t let him work anymore.

He will greatly be missed and loved by several more family and friends. He was a good man with a big heart and would help anyone. He will be fondly remembered.

Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
