Marsha Kay Andrews

Marsha Andrews passed away peacefully in the hospital on March 9, 2021, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 69. Marsha was born on May 11, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to Harold Allen and Rae Timmons.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Allen, and her mother, Rae Timmons.

Marsha is survived by her husband, Doug Andrews; sister, Carol Dame; sister, Barbara Barrett; brother, Steve Allen; daughter, Melissa Andrews; daughter, Samantha Tunnell; her three grandchildren: Shaun, Makayla, and Aaron; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1969.

She married her high school sweetheart, Doug Andrews, in June of 1969.

Marsha spent many years doing volunteer work with the PTA for her daughters’ schools, churches, and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed sewing, craft work, singing, cooking (with her grandson Aaron anytime he came to visit), collecting bells (hundreds of bells), and using Facebook to keep up with what her large family and her friends were doing.

In her later years, she became active at her new church home of First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, particularly in her Seekers Bible study group and the Genesis Sunday school class.

A memorial was Monday, March 29, 2021, at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, located on 3900 Lexington Blvd., Missouri City, TX 77459. Reverend Barbara Robberson officiated the ceremony.
