The Springfield Area 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was a huge success. For the first time in the local event’s seven-year history, there were enough registered climbers to get all 343 heroes carried to the 110th floor (equivalent to the number of floors in the World Trade Center). We can once again show the families of these selfless heroes that we will never forget! Hope to see your support again next year for this amazing tribute. I would like to personally thank the following local businesses for their support: OakStar Bank, State Farm (Karla Steckel office), Amy’s House of Hair, Dallas County Speedway fans, Maple Street Grill, Tracy Strickland Insurance, Century 21 (John and Brigitte Maddux), Dairy Queen, New Hope Baptist Church, L & B Trucking, Holt Monument, Sharpe Motors, LSK Lebanon, Dave Willingham Insurance, Eagle Machine, Niangua River Oasis, Kramer’s Muffler and Shewmaker Auto Parts.
