Twyla Ruth Shade

Mrs. Twyla Ruth Shade age 82 of Fair Grove passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. Twyla was born April 27, 1937 to Clifford and Theo (Carnall) McMillian in Olive, Missouri.

She was raised in Olive Community north of Fair Grove, Missouri and graduated High School in 1955.

On April 28, 1957 she was united in marriage to James Edward Shade and to this union two children were born.

Twyla was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church for 55 years before moving her membership to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar.

She was a bookkeeper and bank teller at several banks and owned restaurants with her husband James.

She loved to cook, was a great mom and grandma, loved her kids and writing letters, gospel music and singing it and liked reading her Bible.

Twyla is preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Hoyle Wayne McMillian and a sister: Ilene Taylor; two grandchildren: Stevon Shade and Levin Teel.

She is survived by her husband James Edward Shade; a son: Anthony Shade and wife Stephanie and Daughter Tammy Teel and Husband Chris. 6 grandchildren: Shane Shade and wife Ashley, Shayla Collins and Husband Jacob, Ashley Chabrecek and Husband Thomas, Nicole Rash and Husband Chance, Levi Teel and Wife Sarah, and Lydia Teel. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Aara Shade, Abel Shade, Breyden Shade, Brody Shade, and Wade Rash.

Family Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Olive, Missouri with Michael Calhoun officiating. Honorary pallbearer will be Sam Lambeth. There will be a Memorial Service announced at a later date. Services will be under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home Buffalo, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Hope School Fund in Mombasa Kenya.
