The 18th annual Karen Kjar Memorial Golf Tournament raised more than $6,900 for local cancer patients seeking treatment at the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center, CMH, in Bolivar. The money goes to fill the gaps, such as gas cards, wigs and other needs.

Championship flight winners were Andrew Behrle and Ian Packard, 55; second place: Ian Packard and Joe Roberson, 57; and third place: Josh Ford and Charlie Welch, 59.

“A” flight winners were Joe Lamar and Robert “Bevo” Looney, 65; second place: Ralph Rodriguez and John Sparkman, 66; and third place: Jim Elton and Bill Crabtree, 66.

“B” flight winners were Billy Barclay Sr. and Rick Barclay, 69; second place: Gerry Simmons and Steve Lipari, 69; and third place: Mark Slaughter and Colby Morgan, 69.

“C” flight winners were Ralph Rodriguez and Deona Rodriguez, 71; second place: Mike Fisher and John Crow, 71; and third place: RD Vestal and Mick McGuire, 72.

“D” flight winners were Craig Montgomery and Dustin Hopper, 74; second place: Jay Schaaf and Tom Roby, 74; and third place: Billy Barclay Jr. and Tommy Barclay, 74.

“E” flight winners were Jimmy Phillips and Stephanie Phillips, 78; second place: Billy Barclay Jr. and Terry Hale, 78; and third place: Tommy Barclay and Bryan Barclay, 78.

Hole 13 held a closest-to-the-pin competition. The morning winner was Marvin Miller, and the afternoon winner was Andrew Behrle. The Longest Drive on hole 18 went to Logan Ray. Oh Hole 9, the closest second shot in the morning went to Lance Batman and in the afternoon Andrew Behrle. On hole 10, Colby Morgan won the group drawing. The putting contest drawing went to Jackie Gammble. On hole 16 the chipping contest drawing went to Joe Roberson. The $150 poker hand was won by Tom Pearson with four queens and an ace. Logan Ray had the longest drive on hole 18. Lance Bateman had the closest second shot on hole 9 in the morning, and Andrew Behrle had the closest second shot in the afternoon.
