The Dallas County Health Department recently announced Week 7, Week 8 and overall Shape Up results.

The weight-loss winner for Week 7 was Jeanne M. with 1.74 percent. The winner is based on percentage of weight lost.

The activity drawing winner for Week 7 was Amy N. A random drawing was held among participants who completed 10,000 steps at least four days during Week 7 or at least 45 minutes of activity four days during Week 7 or a combination of the two.

The nutrition drawing winner for Week 7 was Donna H. A random drawing was held among participants who drank 48 ounces of water, ate four servings of fruits and/or vegetables, strove to incorporate more whole foods, consumed one serving of protein, took 10 minutes a day for themselves to relax, eliminated all drinks except water, unsweet tea, black coffee and small portions of 100 percent juice, and recorded all food and drinks consumed at least four days during Week 7.

The weight-loss winner for Week 8 was Janice B. with 1.94 percent.

The activity drawing winner for Week 8 was Shelly Y. A random drawing was held among participants who completed 10,000 steps at least four days during Week 8 or at least 45 minutes of activity four days during Week 8 or a combination of the two.

The nutrition drawing winner for Week 8 was Stacey C. A random drawing was held among participants who drank 48 ounces of water, ate four servings of fruits and/or vegetables, strove to incorporate more whole foods, consumed one serving of protein, took 10 minutes a day for themselves to relax, eliminated all drinks except water, unsweet tea, black coffee and small portions of 100 percent juice, recorded all food and drinks consumed, and limited screen time to two hours or less — outside of work — at least four days during Week 8.

The overall weight-loss winners wereJeanne M. with 8.25 percent, Brenda B. with 6.82 percent and Amy N. with 5.42 percent.

The aforementioned Shape Up prizes can be picked up at the Dallas County Health Department in Buffalo.
