My brother, Jerry Thomas, celebrated his 85th birthday in Heaven. I remember one year at the Fair Grove festival, our mother baked an all decorated, large sheet cake, and the crowd was invited to share in a "surprise to Jerry" birthday celebration. Jerry enjoyed it, of course, but I believe he was a bit embarrassed at all that attention.
