AmVets Post 117 is recognized for their patriotic float and their compassion for their fellow soldiers

Buffalo Amvets Post 117 took two first place honors at the 2023 Dallas County Veterans Parade on Saturday, Nov. 11. Their red, white and blue patriotic float, complete with a Statue of Liberty, got a first place plaque and Gary Bess, took first grand marshal. The post followed the parade with a full day of celebration at their building at 1005 S. Ash Street in Buffalo.
