Buffalo Amvets Post 117 took two first place honors at the 2023 Dallas County Veterans Parade on Saturday, Nov. 11. Their red, white and blue patriotic float, complete with a Statue of Liberty, got a first place plaque and Gary Bess, took first grand marshal. The post followed the parade with a full day of celebration at their building at 1005 S. Ash Street in Buffalo.
