Bancroft Retires after 35 Years with Dallas County Schools

Posted 5/8/24

Peggy Bancroft is retiring after dedicating over 35 years to the Dallas County School District. She began her career as a crossing guard at Mallory Elementary. Peggy became a substitute bus driver in 1989 then started driving a full-time bus route in 1990, and she continued to do that for 11 years. In 2002 she started transporting 4th graders during the day to the Woods Building classrooms. Peggy has also driven numerous years of career center runs when the school was located in Louisburg. As if she didn't wear enough hats, Peggy also filled in as a sub driver when needed.
