Marshfield woman total vehicle in single-car crash

At 4:55 p.m. on May 18, 2024, Catherine L. Jennings, 18, Marshfield, was headed northbound about three miles north of Elkland in a 2012 Kia Sorrento when Jennings swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The swerving caused the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway and overturn, striking a tree and fence. Jennings suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a safety device.
