Mary Rose Knapp

Mary Rose Knapp, 81 was born July 9, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Ernest and May Wolfe. She passed away May 29, 2021, at a home surrounded by family.

She was united in marriage with Gerald Roberson Sr. in 1958 in Kansas City, MO. During this union 5 children were born.

In 1972, the family moved to Long Lane, MO, where she dedicated her life to the Lord and Savior. She worked at Petit Jean in Buffalo, MO, and continued on to the Key Industries where she retired in 2002.

Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her life. She took care of them and in return they took care of her. They kept her alive and gave her the will to keep going no matter how rough things got.

She loved her day outings with her sister, Linda. Mary was an avid bingo player and particularly loved Sunday afternoon bingo with her DAV family. She will be missed every day and the void will never be filled, but they know she is in Gods care and is reunited with her daughter, Chris. There is no more pain, just joy and peace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Chris Alston Strickland; two brothers, Robert, and Eddie Wolfe; one sister, Norma Jean Wolfe; and one nephew, Steven Owens.

She is survived by two sisters; Linda and husband Calvert Owens of Mack Creek, MO; Erma Cochran of Montana. Two daughters; Cheri and husband James Haulman, of Buffalo, MO; Carol and husband David King of Buffalo, MO. Two sons; Jerry and wife Donna Roberson of Waco, TX; Joe and wife Roberta Roberson of Buffalo, MO; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services for Mary will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri with Jerry Roberson officiating. Pallbearers will be Adam Batt, Gary Dugan Ingram, Josh Roberson, Joseph Roberson, Christopher Hill, Bryan Hill, Robert Owens, Fred Gerdeman. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Fair Grove, Missouri under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 right before the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Buffalo Chapter of the D.A.V.
