Memorial services were May 21 at Aspen Ridge Memory Care. Cremation was accorded by Niswonger-Reynolds, Bend, Ore. Services will also be held at a later date in the Midwest.
Ona Kissel, formerly of Buffalo, was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Pratt, the daughter of William and Lela (Ward) Eagan. She died May 14, 2007, at Aspen Ridge Memory Care, Bend, Ore.
She was a member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage with Ralph Klenke. He died in 1958. She later married Fred Kissel in 1962. They retired to Buffalo in the early 1970s and lived in a perfect little house on a hill overlooking the beautiful Niangua.
She loved to garden, walk, read, sew, bake and participate in church activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands: Ralph Klenke and Fred Kissel; a sister, Helen Shute; and a brother, Charles Eagan.
Survivors include three daughters: Helen Dehner, Bend, Ore., Mary Anne Mann, Albany, Ohio, and Shirley Klenke, St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
