Back in the “Old Days” (about 1985) the new Tiger Tribune staff members at Skyline, along with their teacher, Linda Brown, were excited to take their content to the Buffalo Reflex, lay it out under then-editor, Jim Hamilton, and have it printed like a “real” newspaper. Prior to that, Brown’s husband, Jim Brown, took Skyline’s former newspaper staff to Hermitage to lay it out and print. Around twenty years later, when the school moved back off block scheduling to the more traditional class schedules and they had to add more core classes, the Skyline newspaper went out of print. Last year, it was reintroduced digitally by Sarah Hodges’ creative writing class, and this year, the current staff, with their teacher, Jamie Dampier, is proud to have the Tiger Tribune back into print.
