Dan Haug, Missouri state budget director, recently announced that net general revenue collections for December 2022 declined 9.3 percent compared with those for December 2021, from $1.19 billion in 2021 to $1.08 billion in 2022. The growth rate shown for total sales and use tax is artificially low, as the collections amount last December was artificially high due to a distribution error.
