The Dallas County Sheriff's Office report a busy 2023

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement members were dispatched to 3,543 calls for service; those included 159 assist/secure the scene for medical, 66 suicidal attempts, 438 traffic complaints/traffic stops, 104 trespassing calls, 33 weapons calls, 56 structure fires, 19 vehicle fires, 6 abduction/kidnapping calls, 135 alarm calls, 135 animal calls, 27 sexual assaults, 109 assist other agencies, 70 burglary calls, 48 ex-parte violations, 70 property damage/vandalism calls, 132 peace disturbance calls, 231 domestic disturbance calls, 64 harassment/stalking calls, 56 missing/runaway calls, 356 wanted/warrant calls, 125 theft calls and 276 traffic accident calls. This is not an all-inclusive list of calls responded to by the department.
