At 4:01 p.m. on December 2, 2023, Dale E. Blevins, 59, Buffalo was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on Foose Rd., six miles south of Buffalo, when the vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway, struck the ditch, and overturned. The vehicle was totaled. Dale, as well as a passenger, Cory. R Blevins, 36, Buffalo, faced minor injuries. Both Dale and Cory were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by ambulance. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a safety device. more
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) hopes to touch 11 million children this year. Boxes from this area are delivered to children from around the world once in their lifetime. Most of the children have never received a gift. That’s why when at the processing center, a shipping box is filled, cowbells ring, and volunteers whoop and holler. When a truck is packed and ready to drive out, the entire place goes wild with cheers and more cowbells and trucks blowing the air horns. more
