Yes, I know, it is not the time of year to be writing about hayrides. But, during a conversation between my sister Carol Ann and I, she told how, when she and Joe Wayne (our older brother) were young, they went on a hayride with snow on the ground. Joe Wayne drove the tractor, and when they got to their destination, or maybe back to our house, they had a wiener roast. more

On Sunday, November 24, the Dragons Den Dojo promoted three new First Degree Black Belts and one Sixth Degree Black Belt. Promoted to first-degree black belts were MJ Louise Torres-Rieger, JM Gabriel Torres-Rieger, and Joan Mitchel Torres-Rieger. Prestyn Astarita was promoted to sixth-degree black belt. Testing and promotions were followed by a traditional Tea Ceremony and a Filipino luncheon prepared by Marlynn Surait, mother of the three new black belts. more

According to the MSHP online crash report, at 10 p.m. on Christmas Day, a Buffalo man, 57, was headed south on Hwy. F, five miles south of Buffalo, in a 2013 Buick Lacrosse when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The man faced fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on December 26, 2024. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The driver was not wearing a safety device. more
