Abigail Nordlund, Buffalo, likes rabbits. She took a moment at the Dallas County Fair to visit this lop-eared rabbit that was entered in the competitions at the Junior Livestock Show. She has rabbits of her own but has never shown them at the fair. “Maybe next year,” she said.

The new Taco Bell being constructed at the intersection of U.S. 65 and Mo. 32 in Buffalo is nearing completion. Yesterday the light-up sign letters were being installed on the front of the building by Roger Kjar. Owner Brad Hobbs said the date to open was scheduled for the first part of June, but material supplies and shortages have hindered the opening of his sixth owned location. He also owns franchise Taco Bells in his hometown of Rogersville, and in Ava, Seymour, Mountain Grove and Rolla. He said the restaurant will open as soon as it is finished.
