In a mild upset, Buffalo’s fourth-seeded softball team lost to fifth-seeded Stockton 7-3 in the opening round of the Class 2, District 7 Tournament Friday at Fair Grove. Buffalo also had lost to Stockton 3-1 two weeks ago during the regular season. more
Buffalo seniors Sean Walker and Brett Schwanke both won two events at the Ozarks Highland Conference Track Meet Monday, May 1. Schwanke also was part of a relay team that won the conference championship. more

Less than two weeks ago it looked as if Skyline’s baseball team had blown its chance to at least tie for the Mid-Lakes Conference championship. Both Skyline and Forsyth were 2-0 in league play and faced each other on the field. Forsyth beat Skyline, so was in the driver’s seat with just one league game left for each team. more
Fair Grove continued to have a tough schedule in the past week, playing five games in six days. This included a five-hour round trip to Mountain Home, Ark. and a home game the next morning at 11 a.m. against Springfield Central. more
The Skyline Lady Tigers junior high softball team concluded their 2023 season with a busy week, picking up wins against Wheatland and Rogersville, dropping a close rematch at Morrisville, and then finishing the season strong with back-to-back wins against Strafford and Fair Grove to be crowned the 2023 Mid-Lakes Conference Tournament champions. more

An old adage states that batters start to solve pitchers the second or third time around, but the opposite occurred Friday at Fair Grove. Forsyth raced to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and a half, but after that never had more than one base runner in an inning, and never got a runner past first base. more

Skyline’s softball team improved its record to 17-5 by trouncing Tipton 21-0 and edging Purdy 2-0 in the past week. more
Buffalo Youth Sports hosted its first Youth Track Meet on April 29. There were 43 students signed up to compete in events. Multiple surrounding schools also had students represented. more
