The DAV/DAVA Chapter 62 is sponsoring a Memorial Breakfast in memory of Richard Hrdlicka from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 15, 2024, at 1100 North Maple St., Buffalo. Proceeds from the breakfast are used to benefit the veterans in the community. Join for breakfast and bring friends and family. There will be a variety of breakfast foods and drinks to choose from. more

Erica Testerman, a senior at Buffalo High School, participated in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Legislative Shadowing Project on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Sara Gallivan is the local chapter adviser and accompanied the students to the Capital City. Sponsored by the Missouri FCCLA, the program provides an opportunity for junior and senior high school students to spend a day with their state representative, senator or other public official at the State Capitol. The students observe hearings, meetings and other public duties.  more
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that spans more than 70 countries, and Dallas County is proud to host an affiliate chapter of our own. Recently, community members spanning from high school students to veterans have helped to construct a new house in Buffalo. 631 W. Stanley is the site of this brand new home. more
Tracy Strickland is midway through facilitating the 2024 Leadership Class. As a goal of the GROBuffalo initiative, a leadership class for Dallas County was formed to encourage and train men and women to take leadership roles in the community. Recently, a panel from GROBuffalo was invited by Strickland to explain how the program changed the face and attitudes of the community. more
