Recently the DCR-1 school board approved the bid from Dewitt Construction to build the athletic addition on the South side of the high school FEMA gym. This addition will include locker rooms, weights classroom, and a wrestling/multipurpose room on the top floor (FEMA gym level). The bottom floor will contain storage space and a new concession stand. more

Jennifer Allen is an active community member and is currently the Activities Director at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo. Born and raised in Tunas, MO, Jennifer has spent her life connected to Dallas County. She attended Skyline schools, along with her sister, Stephanie, but kept close friends that were in Buffalo. Baby sister, Stephanie, although 6 years apart from Jennifer, shares her same birthday. Stephanie is currently serving as the Dallas County Treasurer. more

Sales tax collected for the month of September 2023 in Dallas County totaled $290,317.49. The capital improvement road and bridge and the law enforcement funds each received $74,222.56. The new half-cent sales tax increase for the general account supplied an additional $67,649.81 to the general revenue account, making the total for the general revenue account $141,872.37. more
