At 11:25 a.m. on November 5, 2023, Douglas L. Butler, 62, Buffalo, was headed southbound in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and caught fire. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by ambulance. The vehicle was totaled. The driver was wearing a safety device. more

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.
