As I sit down to write this, it appears that spring has finally arrived! For many, including myself, it’s time to start thinking about getting some projects started around the farm. This year is perhaps a little bit different than most as we’re facing an uphill battle against inflation pressure from every direction and a shortage of labor and some materials that makes it tough to get everything on the list accomplished in a timely manner. With that said, evaluate the list closely and focus on farm improvements that will either cut costs or increase income significantly, yet can be finished in a realistic time frame and on budget. more
