Since 2000, Tom has spent his Good Friday walking from city limit to city limit carrying the cross. His purpose is to remind others what Easter is about.  more

Barker in Dallas County Circuit Court with the class B felony of assault in the second degree, the class E felony of resisting a lawful stop, the class E felony of harassment in the first degree, the class D felony of tampering in the first degree and the class A misdemeanor of driving while license revoked on or about March 26, 2024. more
With an estimated project cost of $13.7 million, MoDOT offered a public meeting for the Missouri Route 64 Bridge Replacement Project to discuss proposed improvements and plans for construction in 2025. According to MoDOT, the bridge will remain open during the entire construction. more
Buffalo’s softball team pounded Ava 10-3 to capture third place in the Buffalo Softball Tournament Saturday. The third-seeded Lady Bison easily defeated Hollister 12-0 in the opening round. A two-run homer by a Warsaw player gave the Lady Wildcats a 3-2 victory over Buffalo in the semifinals. The blast was the only thing keeping the Lady Bison out of the championship game. more
John Crawford, Dallas County Commissioner, spoke at a recent Buffalo Rotary meeting announcing that Lincoln Days for the Republican party is April 13, and Governor Parsons is expected to attend. He invited Rotarians to attend the fundraiser at a cost of $25 per plate. more
At 11:30 p.m. on March 28, 2024, Garrett L. Jackson, 25, Elkland, was headed eastbound on RT AA, 4 miles northeast of Fair Grove, in a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis when he swerved to miss a cow and ran off the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle was totaled and Jackson suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver was not wearing a safety device. more

The Buffalo High School Counseling Department hosted an event on March 21 for senior students to sign up for one-on-one assistance as they complete local scholarships applications. More than 40 seniors took advantage of this opportunity and got to enjoy a variety of chips and dips while working hard. Together, over 200 applications were completed. more
