Family, friends, co-workers and residents of Colonial Springs Health Center joined together on Tuesday, July 2 to remember Doug Svendsen, Physical Therapy Technician. Doug passed away on June 27 at his home in Bolivar, Missouri. Doug dedicated 25 years of service and care to Citizens Memorial Healthcare and Colonial Springs Health Care Center. Music and laughter filled the main room at the facility as co-workers and family shared memories and funny stories about this kind man. Doug had just recently received the outstanding award for Therapy Team Member 2024 and this was richly deserved as all were in agreement to his caring attitude with his patients on a daily basis. Doug’s cheerful demeanor and kindness will sorely be missed, not only at his place of work but in his communities. more
