The Buffalo Rotary Club will hold its Second Annual Dollars for Scholars two-person scramble on Saturday, June 1, at Dream Valley Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit the Buffalo Rotary Scholarship Fund. more

Paul Campbell, someone who I have much respect for, is finally going to take a break from diligently working hard to bring you the best in local sports coverage weekly in the Buffalo Reflex. There’s an old saying, “All good things must come to an end,” and without Paul covering the Bison’s, Tigers’ and Eagles’ sports events, there will no doubt be a change. In my opinion, it will be hard to find someone that can come close to a Paul Campbell narration of a ballgame or sports competition. But hey, let’s be fair, everyone has their own style, and hopefully the right person will step forward to pick up the mantle. more

The Dallas County Emergency Recovery Unit has had a hectic year providing relief for four different tornadoes so far. We are gearing up for another operation this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. With numerous tornadoes in the past few days, we've reached out to various municipalities from Arkansas to Iowa. The area most in need of our teams and equipment is Rogers, Arkansas, and its surrounding communities. Our team will depart early Thursday and return Saturday evening. Housing and meals have been arranged. We understand that volunteers have busy schedules, and participation for all three days is not mandatory. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their chainsaws. At 4:55 p.m. on May 18, 2024, Catherine L. Jennings, 18, Marshfield, was headed northbound about three miles north of Elkland in a 2012 Kia Sorrento when Jennings swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The swerving caused the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway and overturn, striking a tree and fence. Jennings suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a safety device. more
